Frequently Asked Questions
We welcome all fitness levels at Boom Pilates. We offer level-based Pilates programming that can cater to everyone from the total Pilates newbie to the seasoned Contrology-guru.
Our foundational level is called Essential. This class is where our newest guests begin. We will teach you the ins and outs of the Equipment Pilates in Essential, Level I. This level class moves at a slower pace to gain a solid foundational understanding of Pilates, that will aid you in your practice for years to come. We strongly recommend for all guests to take 3-5 Essential classes, prior to moving on to Level II/ Intermediate.
When ready to “turn it up”, our most popular class is the Intermediate Level. This progression class moves with twice the intensity of Essential and targets a much deeper focus on your powerhouse. Our Intermediate session will ensure that you break a sweat, and you will feel a full-body-burn for days following this class.
Once you have taken +10 (or more) Intermediate, feel free to partner with anyone on our Squad to inquire about joining one of our Advanced/ Level III classes. These sessions are limited weekly and nod to the full advanced repertoire of Pilates.
The class schedule is open for bookings 5 weeks ahead of time on the MINDBODY app. To avoid any late fees, we feel that the app is the best/easiest place to manage your classes, bookings, and cancelations.
Instructors and classes are subject to change without notice. Please visit the class schedule page for all live updates.
For client safety, Pilates grip-socks are required at all times on the equipment, and socks are available for purchase in the studio. For questions, please call 314-370-0001.
Yup! All your sessions will be booked digitally through the MINDBODY software. Our clients must create an account in order to purchase class credits and register for class. To create an account, go to our website schedule page, or download the MINDBODY app and search for Boom Pilates. You will be asked to create a private profile and place your card on file to become a Boom Pilates customer.
Wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move in, much like you’d wear to a yoga or bootcamp class.
*For both safety and sanitary reasons, we require Pilates grip socks in the studio.
All clients must be 18 years or older.
If it’s your first time at the STL studio, please arrive exactly 5 minutes prior to the class start time to sign our waiver, check-in and get a quick tour of the equipment. If you are not a new client, we always welcome you to arrive 5 minutes early as well, to ensure we all begin on time.
If you are more than 5 minutes late to the start time, the doors will not open class access. We apologize for this inconvenience, but to ensure full client safety, we seek to minimize distractions for all guests new to our Boom Room.
It’s not required but always recommended, especially for someone with challenged mobility, an injury, or who is in the phase of injury recovery. We are currently managing Privates from a waitlist. All new privates are taught mid-day on weekdays, or filled into weekend hours, as we add new teachers. Our early morning/evening hours are no longer open for Private trainings – as these times are routinely reserved for our group class schedule (in both Boom Rooms).
Message us at info@boompilateslife.com to be added to the private training waitlist.
Our Essential-Level Group Class is another place to start your Boom Pilates journey. If you’re released from your physician to begin group-class movement, feel pain-free, and be fully recovered from any/all injuries, you are welcome to sign up for an Essential Equipment classes.
Class credits can be purchased on our website or on the MINDBODY app.
All sales are final. All classes must be prepaid. Classes are not refundable, exchangeable, or transferable between guests.
We do have an intro offer available to all new clients: BOGO (buy one class, get one class free). These two classes must be taken within 15 days of each other. To inquire more about this BOGO offer, email us at info@boompilateslife.com.
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for classes. If you cancel a class within our cancellation window, which ends 12 hours before the class’s start time, the class will be credited back to your account for later use. If you need to cancel less than 12 hours before the class’s start time, you will lose the class credit.
Due to high demand, Boom Pilates is currently booking private sessions from a waitlist.
To be added to the waitlist, please email info@boompilatesife.com.
We offer a Monthly Unlimited Membership to a limited amount of guests monthly (due to 2021 capacity/Covid-19 restrictions).
Our BPL membership is 10 classes monthly for $139.
This membership requires a 3-month minimum commitment and also requires a 30-day cancelation notice to end the contract.
The Monthly Unlimited Membership auto-renews every month. The day your monthly membership expires, your account will be automatically charged for the next month under the same terms. If you’re a Monthly Unlimited Member and you don’t show up or cancel late (less than 12 hour notice) for a class, you will incur a $10 late/cancel fee.
To join our Monthly Unlimited Membership, you can email our studio to get added to the waitlist: info@boompilatesife.com.
If you want to cancel your membership at any point, email our team 30 days prior to the expiration of the current month and we will cancel the auto-renew.
NEW CLIENTS: To ensure the safety of our clients, if you are new to Boom we suggest arriving 5 minutes before class begins. We require that all new clients receive a proper introduction to the instructor and equipment, as well as sign a new client waiver. For your safety and the experience of all clients, new clients will not be permitted to join class more than 5 minutes into the workout. Thank you in advance for understanding.
EXISTING CLIENTS: It is recommended that you arrive exactly 5 minutes before the start of class. However, existing clients can join the session up to 10 minutes after the start of class. If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the start time, please know that your spot may be given to a walk-in or waitlisted client at the 10 minute mark following the start of the class.
We have a 12 hour cancellation policy for group classes. If you wish to cancel a class, you must do so at least 12 hours before the class’s start time in order for the class to be credited back to your account.
We have a 24-hour cancelation policy for Private/Duet/Trio/Party sessions. If you need to cancel your privately booked session, please email the studio and message your instructor on or before the 24 hour window prior to your scheduled session.
Due to significant waitlists and pre booking practices, a $10 accountability fee (and loss of pass) is charged for any late cancel that is not within the studio cancel window.
If it is before the 12 hour cancellation window, you can switch classes by cancelling the class that you are currently enrolled in and sign up for another class. If you realize you cannot make it to your class within the 12 hour window prior to the class’s start time, classes cannot be switched.
If you need to cancel a reservation, log in to the MINDBODY app, click on your scheduled classes, choose the booked session you’d like to cancel and click “Cancel.” If you have trouble cancelling or have any questions, email info@boompilateslife.com.
If a class you’d like to take is full, we highly recommend putting yourself on the waitlist. In order to do so, you must purchase a class or pack of classes. If you do not get a spot in the class, the class credit will be returned to your account. If a spot opens more than 2 hours before the start of class, you will be added to the class and receive an email confirmation. BOOM TIP: Be sure to check your app to see if you got in a few hours before the class begins.
All classes have a 12-hour cancellation policy, so if you’re added to a class from the waitlist at any time more than 12 hours before the start of class, be aware that the 12-hour cancellation policy still applies. If you are added to the class and don’t remove yourself in time, you will lose the class credit.
Any time before the 12-hour class cancellation window, if you are still on the waitlist and realize you no longer want a spot in the class, please remove yourself from the waitlist, just like you would cancel a class, and the class credit will be returned to your account.
Please note that the waitlist locks and becomes void at the 2-hour mark prior to that class start time. If you did not get in, the pass is added back to your account at this time.
If you were a regular Boom client before you became pregnant, you can continue to take classes until week 35, as long as you feel comfortable and have your doctor’s approval. Please discuss this with your doctor before taking class. If you are new to Boom Pilates, we do not suggest you try our classes for the first time while pregnant.
Your physician should also clear any post-pregnancy activity. Remember to give grace to your amazing body and take your time getting back into all core-focused workout post-delivery.
We would not advise taking a class until your doctor/PT/OT clears you to do so. We highly recommend that you set up private Pilates sessions with one of our certified Boom Squad instructors as you work through any post-injury recoveries.
We love your kiddos but we want to keep this studio focused around your goals and some “you time”. We do not offer childcare in the Boom Room.
If you need to leave your phone by your equipment in the case of an emergency, we get it. Otherwise, please leave your phone in your bag or cubby during the workout. However, don’t forget to post a before or after “Boomie” selfie and tag us on social media!
We do not have showers, but we do have a restroom that doubles as a dressing room if you need to change before or after the session.
We do not have locker rooms, but we offer cubbies for any of your belongings.
Friendly reminder: We are not liable for any of your personal items in the studio, or in your vehicle, during your time spent in the Boom Room.
Merchandise must be returned within 7 days of purchase with the original hangtags attached.
All garments are subject to inspection.
Refunds will only be issued in the form of account credit.
